Meeting point: *Fräulein Grüneis* near the Eisbach/Haus der Kunst - you can pick up coffee/tea/water and there is a toilet. Optional lunch afterward.

Public transport: Bus 100, Tram 16, Lehel UBahn lines 4 & 5 is a 5 minute walk.

Time: 10:30am

Distance: 5-7 km (easy to moderate)

Evening English Book Club

Welcome to the Evening Book Group! We meet one evening a month from 19:00 - 21:00 to discuss a book we have previously chosen that meets our criteria of relating to “cross-cultural” topics. That is a wide definition that encompasses national cultures, caste, gender, lifestyle or anything else the group accepts as exploring the cultural aspects of a particular group. We will decide each month’s book at the meeting in the preceding month.

We will meet at members' homes on a rotating basis. There will be a limit of 10 participants each month to allow for better discussion and so that more members will have a chance to host in their homes.

We will also meet on Zoom

Please register for either in-person (max. 7) or via Zoom (max 3).

When: Wednesday, 22 July 19:00 - 21:00

Where: Carol Hoffman’s home @ Leopoldstrasse 180, 13th Floor

What: We will be discussing Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton (recommended by Denise Phillipson)

We will not meet in August. For September, The Correspondent by Virginia Evans has been recommended by Mary and endorsed by Hai-en. At the July meeting attendees will determine if that is indeed to be the September book.

Joining the English Conversation Group is a great way for those wanting to brush up on their conversational English skills in a relaxed and friendly environment and for native English speakers to socialize. Come enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and let's have a chat.
