Club Organization and Committee Teams

The MIWC currently has over 190 members and is run by an organizing committee of volunteers. The MIWC Organizing Committee is made up of 13 teams and two leaders who meet together once a month to discuss club business. Teams are always looking for new talent. 

Chair & Vice-Chair - represent and lead the MIWC and oversee the running of the club.  executiveboard @ miwc.club

Treasurer - collects funds, pays bills, issues tax receipts and maintains the financial books. treasurer @ mwic.club

Activities Support - facilitates the organization of activities for the club. They communicate through the Weekly Reminder emails and the website. They welcome suggestions for new activities and offer assistance as needed.  activities @ miwc.club

Admin - manages the MIWC website, membership database, and Facebook group. admin @ miwc.club

Charity - directs MIWC support of and donations to Frauenhaus and other charities.  charity @ miwc.club

FAWCO - informs members about projects, initiatives, and opportunities from FAWCO, the international organization supporting expat women living overseas (American and international). fawco @ miwc.club



Fundraising - create ideas to raise funds and execute those ideas. fundraising @ miwc.club

Hospitality – sets up and provides refreshments for monthly meetings and Committee meetings.  hospitality @ miwc.club

Member Care - cares for members in need by sending cards, letters, flowers and providing other support as needed to cheer them up or to celebrate successes. membercare @ miwc.club

Membership - replies to emails from current members regarding membership. membership @ miwc.club

MING Liaisons - interface with MING, an umbrella organization for international networking groups in Munich, and coordinate MIWC's attendance at popular MING events throughout the year such as Little American Oktoberfest and Frühlingsfest. ming @ miwc.club


Open Door - interface to this group that facilitates meetups with other international women's groups around the world.  

Program Coordinators - organizes the programs and activities at monthly meetings including arranging speakers and other events such as the yearly member bazaar. programs @ miwc.club

Secretary - takes notes at Committee meetings and prepares them for distribution to the Committee. secretary @ miwc.club

Social Media - handles all postings on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. socialmedia @ miwc.club

Welcoming - welcomes prospective and new members. This team coordinates the monthly Newcomers’ Coffee, staffs the Welcoming table at the monthly meetings, and creates and manages the member name tags.  welcoming @ miwc.club
